Does Almighty God Ever Add To His Laws?
A lot of people would say no. Don’t add or take away. (Deuteronomy 4: 2, Revelation 22 :18 to 19). This is true, you shouldn’t add or take away from what He has already said. Only He can do that, and that is the point. He can do that. He can do whatever He wants. We cannot.
There have been many instances in the Holy Bible, where Almighty added a new law. Laws and rules were added, explained, or given more grace, but not changed. Israel simply did not understand how to apply God’s laws to their spirits. Some laws were fleshly symbols of what God wanted from us in the spirit. Jesus Christ fulfilled what was already written and established, by explaining the purpose for the laws and how to obey Almighty God in the spirit and flesh, not just flesh.
Here are some examples:
Covering a woman’s head for prayer was a symbolic tradition, not law. – 1st Corinthians 11: 2 to 16 explains what head coverings represented to the people of that time, but it was never a law given from Almighty God. Therefore, there are no grounds for arguing about it. It is a personal preference, but the Pharisee’s treated it like it was God’s law, when it was man made doctrine.
Eye For An Eye was never a law. With Moses, if you break it, you bought it, tit for tat, and if you kill, you die. Strict punishments were given to a harsh and hardheaded people, but this is not a law, it’s punishment. Many mistake the punishment for law. It is a type of punishment that can be lessened, changed or eliminated with repentance, because of the grace we get from Jesus Christ.
When Jesus Christ came, the punishment of stoning was eliminated. Everyone has sinned, so everyone would be stoned to death. It’s true, Almighty God is strict about keeping His creation uncontaminated, but He is also merciful to whom He chooses, and when He chooses. The generation of Moses was quite barbaric. If you live by the sword, you die by the sword. They didn’t show much mercy to Moses, so they didn’t get as much mercy as they could have gotten. After Almighty sent His Image, and Beloved Son Jesus Christ, some of the punishments that were left over from generation of Moses, were lessened or eliminated, and many laws were spiritually explained.
Adultery became more strict. – You don’t have to touch. Just think about someone else in a way that only should apply to your spouse, and you have committed adultery. Matthew 5: 27 to 28.
Murder became more strict. – You don’t have to physically kill. Just hating someone, and wishing evil upon them, or intentionally not helping them, and you automatically give your spirit power to demons, to go and attempt to hurt and kill the person who you hate. If they die because of your evil wishes, you are guilty of murder. Remember we must love one another, that is a law. 1st John 3:15 to 16, John 13: 34.
Circumcision became less strict and not necessary for the gentile, and shown to be a symbol of cleanliness of the spirit. It has health advantages, but It is not a law for the gentile. Only God can personally demand any individual gentile to get a circumcision. It is only for the seeds of Abraham, and all who were a part of his household, and for the gentile and foreigner, who were with him.
This circumcision symbol of their covenant with God, reminded them to stay clean in the spirit just as they seek to be clean in the flesh. Jesus Christ explains thru Apostle Paul, that some of the laws for Israel are exempt for the gentile, so they can easily mesh and become as one people, together with Judah. For gentile Christians, this eased their transition, from living as a heathen to becoming a Christian.
Like Israel fail the spirit test, gentile Christians fail the flesh test. Many Christians think that if they believe in the spirit, sinning in the flesh is allowed with the excuse of their flesh being weak. Many Jews only show their fear of God, by obeying in the flesh, but have no deep spiritual connection to Almighty God in Jesus Christ. With the power of Jesus Christ, none of us have excuses to sin in the spirit or flesh. We should just do, what we know we should do, be obedient in spirit and flesh. Genesis 17: 10 to 14, Ephesians 2: 13 to 16, Deuteronomy 30: 6, Jeremiah 4: 4, Romans 2: 25-27.
We all need to learn and understand what the true purpose of the law is. It is not to burden, but to teach us the way we were created to behave, and take care of each other, and this Earth, in the spirit and in the flesh. Hebrew 4: 12,
Not marrying close relatives became a new law. – It was a necessity to marry siblings at the beginning, because there wasn’t anyone else to marry. Many of the siblings were hundreds of years apart by age, which definitely made it easier, to not have close relationships. But as soon as there were enough humans on the earth, to spread that out even more so, other than age length, a new law was given. As with all laws and rules, there will always be a very important reason. For one, our DNA pool was getting too closely knitted, which leads to deformities and disease. A law was given for not marrying closely related family members. We are all related, but the distance of each family tree, makes it safe to marry each other.
There are other examples, but I will stop here for now. Almighty God is forever growing and changing things around us. He will never be stagnant or quiet. He is the Living God, who is always creating and shifting His creations to have balance.
The best and easiest way to understand and obey the laws of Almighty God, is to chronologically obey the laws, unless it is only a law for Israel, or until He gives understanding and explanation of how to obey a law that has not been completely understood.
There were misconceptions thru out the Holy Scriptures, before, during and after they were written. The Israelite’s physically performed the rituals of Holy Days, and Laws as given thru the High Priest and Moses. But most of the time, they lacked the spiritual connection to Almighty God. There are so many Christians of today who are the same way concerning the flesh. They claim to love God in their heart, but they always say that their flesh is too weak. They fall in every trap, using this excuse. Yet, they seem to be able to fight against everything else that they don’t want to do, in this flesh.
The Holy Spirit is still teaching and explaining. The Holy Spirit was sent in the form of tongues of fire, to speak to us. He speaks into our own spirits within the bodies that we live in, which are the Holy Temples of Almighty God. We all have spiritual communication with each other, whether we acknowledge it or not. But, If you do not have the Holy Spirit, you don’t have the ears to hear, or eyes to see, what is right in front of your face. Seek Him, and you will find Him. (Proverbs 8: 17.)
So then, yes Almighty God still speaks, all day, everyday to those who will listen. When He gives you a personal order, it becomes law for you. Some of us listen but still will not obey, but we know what we heard when we heard it, even if we deny it to ourselves to ease the guilt of our sins. Sometimes within His conversations to His children, He will tell multiple ones at once about the same additional rules of explanation to many things, that we didn’t understand before. This gives us confirmation, when it is needed. This is the Holy Spirit revealing the hidden things so we will no longer be ignorant to the tricks of our enemies. So we can endure until the end and forever with Him in Heaven and on Earth. After all, planet Earth was supposed to originally be apart of the Holy Heavens, but sin created the separation. (Joel 2: 28, Acts 2: 17.)
Conclusion:
Traditions, symbols, and punishments are not laws. Don’t get caught up in these things. If someone tells you that Almighty God, and His Great Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ, is not talking to humans anymore, don’t believe it! Who are they to say when He can talk, and when He cannot talk? He sends visions, dreams, and Holy Angels to manifest into human form, or whatever form He chooses, to speak to us and help us. Once you get to know the Holy Spirit better, you will enjoy who we are, to Almighty God. The way He chooses to speak to us in different ways that are undeniably Him speaking, is the most beautiful experience you will ever have for eternity. Some laws and rules are for everyone, and some are for your personal mission with Him. None of His laws will clash with each other, if you have the understanding and wisdom from the Holy Spirit. If there is contradiction, there is confusion in your interpretation. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand, and then wait. God will let you know on His own time, go learn something else while you wait for your answers. Have faith and trust Jesus Christ.
